About this treatment
What are check-ups & exams?
Regular dental check-ups let our dentists spot and treat problems early — from decay to gum disease and oral-health concerns. Most adults are seen every 6–12 months.

Check-ups & Exams at our practice
Regular check-ups are the simplest way to keep your teeth and gums healthy and to catch small problems before they turn into bigger ones. At your appointment, your dentist examines your teeth, gums and soft tissues, looks for early signs of decay or gum disease, and takes X-rays if they’re needed. A routine examination comes under NHS Band 1 (£27.90).
Most adults are seen every six to twelve months, and your dentist will suggest an interval that suits your own dental health — children and higher-risk patients are often seen more often. Keeping up with regular visits usually means less treatment, and less cost, further down the line.
We’re currently welcoming new NHS and private patients across Sileby and the surrounding Soar Valley villages. To book your first check-up, call 01509 814565 or register as a new patient online. If something flares up in the meantime, our emergency dental care is here when you need it.
