Questions and answers

Are you accepting new NHS patients in Sileby?

Yes — we're currently registering new NHS and private patients, including adults, children and patients entitled to free dental care. NHS availability can change, so it's worth getting in touch sooner rather than later. Call 01509 814565 or use our contact form to register.

Whereabouts in Sileby are you, and how do I get there?

We're at 4 High Street, Sileby LE12 7RX, in the centre of the village close to St Mary's Church and the local shops. Sileby railway station is a short walk away with regular trains towards Loughborough and Leicester, and local buses run towards Loughborough.

Which areas do you look after?

We're a local practice for Sileby and the surrounding Soar Valley and Charnwood villages, including Barrow upon Soar, Cossington, Mountsorrel, Rothley, Seagrave and Syston, and we welcome patients from Loughborough too.

How much does NHS dental treatment cost?

NHS charges in England for 2026 fall into three bands. Band 1 (£27.90) covers an examination, diagnosis and advice, including any X-rays and a scale and polish if needed. Band 2 (£76.60) covers fillings, extractions and root canal treatment. Band 3 (£332.10) covers crowns, dentures and bridges. Some patients are exempt from charges.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your dentist will take a full medical and dental history, examine your teeth, gums and soft tissues, and take any X-rays that are needed. You'll get a clear explanation of anything they find, along with an agreed plan and costs, before any treatment begins.

I'm nervous about seeing a dentist — can you help?

You're far from alone, and we see many anxious patients. Let us know when you book and we'll allow extra time, talk you through each step and never rush you. Easing back into regular check-ups usually makes future visits much more comfortable.

Do you offer emergency dental appointments?

Yes. If you have severe toothache, facial swelling or a broken tooth, call us on 01509 814565 as early in the day as possible and we'll do our best to see you quickly. When we're closed, NHS 111 can direct you to an urgent dental service covering the Charnwood area.

Do you offer private treatments like teeth whitening or Invisalign?

Yes. Alongside NHS care we offer private options including professional teeth whitening, Invisalign clear aligners and dental implants. Call us on 01509 814565 to arrange a consultation and we'll talk through what might suit you.
